The Jerry R. Licari Foundation, established in 1999 by the Licari family, contributes annually to organizations in Charlotte, the U.S. and world, dedicated to improving the health, wellness and spirit of those most in need. The foundation has donated to various organizations supporting the arts, sciences, health and human services, including: multiple organizations working in the fight against AIDS, such as House of Mercy, in Belmont, North Carolina, and CARE for AIDS, in Kenya; the Samburu Project, providing new wells and clean water to villages in Kenya; the Pink House in Charlotte, providing refuge for cancer patients; and various other local, regional and international non-profit organizations.
